Anna FM launched on February 1, 2004, as India’s first campus community radio station at Anna University in Chennai. Operating at 90.4 MHz with a 50-watt transmitter, the station reaches areas within a 15-kilometer radius of the university.

What distinguishes Anna FM is its focus on empowering women from low-income communities surrounding the campus.
